Why we changed our name & logo
The Al Ummah Foundation Board members decided to change the original charity name from Ya Ummati Foundation to Al Ummah Foundation in 2018. This was undertaken following a consultation with learned persons regarding the use of the words – Ya Ummati which is believed to be exclusive to the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) reference to humanity. It was during this time, the Board members also felt that a change in the logo and identity was needed to truly reflect the legacy of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH); his message and work towards global unity, love, respect and peace.
