Background
3 families traveled to the nearby village which was approximately half a mile away. The owners of the tube well didn’t always allow the use of the tube well out of fear of the tube well breaking. During the monsoons it was impossible to travel. Women members of the family were particularly challenged to bathe in privacy and domestic duties such as cleaning and washing was near impossible. These families are poor and struggle on a daily basis to make ends meet and rely on charity.
Outcome
Al Ummah Foundation a donor came forward to cover the cost of the project and donated in full. Work started on the 1st October 2018 and a tube well was installed and completed on the 5th November 2018. This project ensured that the families did not have to travel and could bathe, carry out domestic duties in privacy.
